The Baron’s Men Board of Directors

Brian Martin

Brian Martin

Brian Martin

Brian began acting in 1999 when he talked five friends into performing an abridged version of “Henry V” which he adapted and directed for friends in an historical reenactment setting. Since that time, Brian has gone on to perform in all productions of The Baron’s Men to date, totaling nine plays. In addition to Henry V, Brian’s roles with The Baron’s Men include Benedick in “Much Ado About Nothing”, Petruchio in “Taming of the Shrew”, Alonzo in “The Tempest” and Jack/The Miller in “The Bawdy Five” among others. He also directed The Baron’s Men’s production of “The Merry Wives of Windsor” in 2003. In the past nine years, Brian has discovered a passion for acting in general and for Elizabethan theater in particular. As a founding member of The Baron’s Men, Brian has served on the Board of Directors since its inception and has helped guide the troupe from a small group of friends who staged private shows to a growing public theater in Austin. Brian is amazed to see how The Baron’s Men have grown and that they now attract established members of Austin theater but his original goals haven’t changed: primarily he wants to have fun with his friends and put on entertaining shows.

Away from the theater, Brian is a software project manager and is active in his son’s Cub Scout pack.  Brian is married to fellow founding member Pam Martin and they are the proud parents of a son, Trevor, who made his debut with The Baron’s Men at age nine.

Katrina O’Keefe

Katrina O’Keefe saw her first show with The Baron’s Men when her husband was cast in the 2002 ‘Much Ado About Nothing’ traveling production. She signed on for the next show and in 2004 was cast as Mistress Ford in’ The Merry Wives of Windsor’. In 2007 she played Adrianna in ‘A Comedy of Errors’ and she was cast as Kate in the 2008 production of ‘Taming Of The Shrew’.  In 2009 Katrina was costume mistress for ‘The Tempest’ and that same year played one of Macbeth’s Witches in The Baron’s Men’s production of ‘Medieval Macabre’. Most recently she has been in ‘The Bawdy Five’, a collection of medieval short acts. She joined the Board of Directors for the Baron’s Men in April 2010.

In her regular life, Katrina is a full time student working on a Master’s Degree in Information Sciences, as well as full time mother to a teenager. Katrina has worked as everything from an office manager to a chimney sweep in the past and is looking forward to becoming a research librarian.

Pam Martin

Pam began her involvement with The Baron’s Men making costumes and providing sound effects for their first show, an abbreviated version of “Henry V” performed for friends in an historical reenactment setting in 1999. Since that time, Pam has remained involved with The Baron’s Men at almost every level. Pam has appeared on stage as Beatrice in “Much Ado About Nothing”, and appeared in “Knight of the Burning Pestle”. Pam joined the Board of Directors in spring of 2009 and oversees the troupe’s finances.

Pam is a high school math teacher in the Leander ISD with 18 years experience in the classroom. Pam is married to fellow founding member Brian Martin and they are the proud parents of a son, Trevor who made his debut at age nine.

Casey Weed

Casey Weed has been playing with the members of the Baron’s Men since their 2002 production of Much Ado About Nothing in roles both small and large.   Acting has been a part of his life since high school but participation in the Society for Creative Anachronism lead to a love of Shakespeare through the founding members of TBM after seeing their very first performance- an abridged Henry V- at a small gathering of reenactors just outside of San Antonio, Texas in 2000.  Casey has since performed on other stages around Austin including productions by director Beth Burns and the Austin Shakespeare Festival… but he considers the Curtain his home and this troupe his acting family.  Casey wrote/adapted and directed an original play, the Bawdy Five, for TBM aimed at showing a modern audience what secular inn yard theater might have been like before Shakespeare’s time.  His goals within the troupe include hosting a Shakespearean festival of Original Stage Practice Plays and also to act in every play in the Shakespeare cannon.

In his life outside the theater Casey is the Director of Marketing at Round Rock based printing company and is also the happy husband of his wife and life love, Cherie.
