Iden Payne awards. This year’s ceremony marks the first nominations for the troupe. The nominations are:

  • Pam Martin, Dawn Allee, and Jennifer Davis for Best Costuming – A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Fall 2010);
  • Eva McQuade, Aaron Niemuth, Gene Storie, Heath Thompson, Alex McDonald, Samantha Smith, and Comet for Best Ensemble – Rude Mechanicals in A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Fall 2010).

The spring weather here in Austin has been absolutely right for playing on the Curtain stage in full sun. Sunday saw our musicians integrating with the cast and tonight we will be blocking the deadly duel twixt valiant Viola (Kat O’Keefe) and angry Andrew Aguecheek (J. Nathan Day)… it promises to be delightful. Shakespeare, swords, and an authentic stage on a balmy March day in Austin- does it get better than this?
