The Tempest
"O brave new world that has such people in't!"
The Tempest is a play about betrayal, love and forgiveness. Prospero, the one-time Duke of Milan, and his beautiful daughter, Miranda live on an island off the coast of Italy with a magical creature called Ariel and a monster named Caliban. Prospero is a powerful magician who creates the storm that sets the scene for the play. In the events that follow we see a plot to murder the Queen of Naples, a drunken scheme to kill Prospero, and a romance between Miranda and the Queen’s son, Ferdinand.
